UES locals know this one. River views are gorgeous, gardens are legit—volunteers actually care. Dog runs are always a scene, good energy. Playgrounds solid, basketball court, Gracie Mansion right there. Some people ignore the off-leash rules on the grass which is annoying. Bathrooms are a gamble. Never feels like a tourist zoo. Just a good neighborhood spot.

Lovely park with views of the East River. The park is well kept. When I was there they were fixing some of the stairs. The park is bigger than I thought it would be. They have plenty of benches and in some areas people were sitting on the grass. They have Basketball 🏀 Courts and a Playground and they also have a dog run. Also Gracie Mansion is in the park.

On the East River right off east end avenue in the 80s Carl Shurz Park is a hidden treasure. Savoring the lush flora and fauna, great river views, sculptures and formal and informal gardens is a beautiful way to spend the day. The promenade is fun for a run, a stroll, or a dog walk. There's a basketball court, playground, restrooms, water fountains, pickleball courts, dog run, and benches facing the river and nestled in the mature greenery. Historical Gracie Mansion located there, as well as a water taxi dock. The only downside is the lack of maintenance at the bench areas facing the river. Still...a beautiful gracious peaceful spot in a bustling city.

This is the park if you want breathtaking views of NYC without the noise. Screw Central Park Reservoir and come here instead. The two times I've been here it's been super quiet. You can actually think in this park compared to all the others. I ❤️ you Carl Schulz Park

Absolutely beautiful park filled with so many activities. I had a privilege of meeting Teddy the Clydesdale horse. Stunning horse and the officers were so friendly.
