The Picklr Orlando North, FL Pickleball Court Reviews
Amazing Pickleball facility. Everyone is so friendly. You get good games and competition. There is a very nice shop with a big variety of paddles and even clothes! I would definitely recommend this place and I will be back for sure
Picklr North is brand new and hip! It got 8 fenced courts and is loaded with nice amenities: a pro shop, a shower/change room/bathroom combo, an interactive dink wall, a ball machine and a full rack of various paddles to try for free. They also offer lessons, clinics, and DUPR assessments. The staff are super friendly, too! For non-members, the open play is $15/person/session (up to 3 hours); a reserved court is about $16/person/2 hours (for up to 6 persons).
Picklr is the best pickleball facility in Central Florida. Not only so, their entire staff is world-class! I’m always greeted with friendly smiles and the staff’s passion for pickleball and people make this place such a great environment. Recently participated in a tournament and Cade and Ethan did such a fantastic job. Little to no wait between games, and the execution was flawless! Shout out to Austin, Cade, Ben, Gary, Kelsey, Maddie, Ethan, and the entire staff! I appreciate all the pointers and tips and have noticed my games have gotten a lot better thanks to you all. Game on!
Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Wife and I were in town and visited a couple times. The advanced play was hit or miss but from what I hear the more advanced players are in private groups. But the staff was super cool and we met a lot of really nice people. Would definitely return
I’ve been a member since this place first opened, and it’s honestly sad to see how much it’s gone downhill. When The Picklr opened, it was THE PLACE to play pickleball in Orlando. There was always good competition and always people to play with, pretty much from 8am to 11pm. Over time, the focus completely shifted. Instead of building the community, it turned into constantly pushing members to spend more money on the pro shop, lessons, clinics, you name it. A lot of members did support the business at first, but it got to the point where it felt forced, and people just weren’t interested anymore. A big issue was memberships. If you needed to pause because you were out of town, they wouldn’t honor your original rate, which caused a lot of long-time members to leave. Canceling was also made way harder than it should’ve been. They’d try to talk you into staying with “free clinics” or a “10-day free membership,” and I know several people who had to call and email multiple times just to cancel. There’s also a lot of favoritism with the staff. If you’re not one of their friends, the rules suddenly matter. But if you are, those same rules don’t seem to apply. It creates a really uncomfortable and unfair environment. And you can see the results now. Their open plays and leagues barely get more than five people most of the time. These same events used to be full a week in advance. What used to feel busy and exciting now just feels empty. It’s pretty clear at this point that member feedback doesn’t matter. The owner isn’t in this for the pickleball community. He’s in it to make money. He’s never played pickleball and doesn’t seem to understand how the community actually works. A lot of staff didn’t agree with the direction either, which is why almost all of the original staff has left. I won’t be coming back. The mindset of “you need us more than we need you” is exactly why this place is where it is now. I wouldn’t recommend buying a membership or spending money here unless you’re okay with being constantly pushed to spend more.
